The history of Vinhos Franco is deeply intertwined with that of the family, born and raised in a small village in the Cartaxo region, where winemaking has long been part of local tradition. United by a shared passion, Rui embraced the project from the start, Inês joined in 2021, and Teresa and Leonor support whenever they can.
Proudly based in the Tejo Wine Region, they work in a historic territory known for its remarkable diversity of terroirs. Of the three terroirs in the region, Vinhos Franco belongs to Bairro, recognized for producing expressive, vibrant wines with strong personality.
In this experience, you are invited to join the winemaker on a journey into the heart of the Bairro terroir. The visit begins in the vineyards, travelling in the winemaker’s vehicle, where you will discover the characteristics that shape the identity of the Franco grape varieties. You will then visit the winery, continuously renovated since 2015, to learn about the careful and precise steps that define their winemaking process.
The experience concludes in the tasting room with a guided tasting of the Expression Edition wines, paired with tapas. An intimate and welcoming experience that reveals the essence of Vinhos Franco.
