Adega da Gaveta

Grandpa José Margarido is responsible for this whole adventure, and the name 'Adega da Gaveta' comes in his honor. It used to be the custom in more rural areas for friends to get together on the weekend and visit each other's cellars. When this happened at Margarido's winery, there was always something to snack on in the drawer of the wooden table - which remains today!

Adega da Gaveta, located in Tomar, is part of the Margaval Vinhos company, which was set up by Francisco, grandson of Grandpa José Margarido, and Maria, his wife, to develop wine tourism programs and new wine brands.

The brand focuses on organic production, so that there is minimal intervention, both in the field and in the winery, expressing the Tejo region and the Tomar sub-region, authentically, and its ideology is that the wine should reflect the qualities of the grape.
