Quinta da Pacheca, located in Lamego, is one of the oldest and most emblematic estates in the Douro region, renowned for its deep connection to the valley’s winemaking traditions. Surrounded by century-old vineyards and granite “lagares”, the estate offers the perfect setting to experience the true spirit of the Douro harvest.
The experience begins early in the morning with the distribution of harvest equipment, followed by a traditional “mata-bicho”, a typical morning snack. After this first moment, participants head to the vineyards for grape picking, ending in the “lagares” for the traditional grape treading. A guided tour then follows, covering the vineyards, the “lagares”, the winery and the shop.
The program continues with a typical harvest lunch, including a starter, main course, dessert and selected drinks. The activity concludes with a wine tasting, celebrating the flavors that define Quinta da Pacheca’s identity.
