About the Activity
Cabrita Wines, located in Silves in the Algarve, is a family-owned winery founded in 1977 by José Manuel Cabrita, who inherited the property and family business. In 2000, a new phase began with the planting of additional vineyard plots and the collaboration of winemakers António Maçanita, Cláudia Favinha and Joana Maçanita, which led to the creation of the Cabrita Wines brand in 2007.

The project focuses on producing high-quality wines using traditional Algarve grape varieties. Each vineyard plot contributes to the character of the portfolio, which includes regional blends, a 100 percent Negra Mole red, and a low-alcohol Moscatel grown in sandy soils.

The guided tour includes the vineyards, the winery, and the barrel cellar, with an explanation of the winemaking process. The experience concludes with a commented tasting of 4 premium wines paired with local cheeses and charcuterie.
