About the Activity
The Sociedade Agrícola de Pias was founded in 1973 by José Veiga Margaça, an entrepreneur from Torres Vedras who found in Pias the ideal place to create authentic, high-quality wines. With a passion for the land and deep respect for the Alentejo, he dedicated decades to modernising the vineyards and winery, promoting local employment and strengthening ties with the community. Today, the company – now known as Vinhos Margaça – is the largest producer in the Pias region. The project remains in the hands of the family, who honour José Veiga Margaça’s legacy with a contemporary vision that stays close to the consumer.

In this experience, you will have the opportunity to take a guided tour of the winery and enjoy a wine tasting from the "Vinha do Furo" range, accompanied by regional products (bread, olive oil and cheese).

Visiting the Família Margaça is discovering a living legacy, where the past and future of the Alentejo come together in an authentic toast.
