    “5 Stars: A Masterclass in Portuguese Wine Hospitality” As a chef and baker visiting from California, I have been to my fair share of tastings, but our experience at Caves São João was on another level entirely. A massive part of that was Sandra. Her "full service" approach wasn't just about pouring wine; it was an incredible deep dive into the history of the cellars and the technical artistry of their classic vintages. She was exceptionally knowledgeable and attentive, making the entire tour feel personal and professional.

    I’m leaving with a select few bottles that I can't wait to share back home, and I am especially looking forward to indulging in the vineyard’s olive oil—as a chef, finding high-quality, estate-grown oil like this is always a highlight.
