Adega Malápio
Adega Malápio was founded with the purpose of reviving the ancient tradition of winemaking in clay amphorae in the Bairrada region. The wines are produced through skin-contact fermentation, using only beeswax and pine resin, preserving ancestral methods that highlight authenticity and purity.
With some of the oldest vineyards in the region, the winery follows a low-intervention philosophy, resulting in wines that are distinctive, genuine, and full of character.
Located in the heart of Bairrada, near the largest clay deposits, Adega Malápio invites you to explore its vineyards and winery. Here, you can savour the iconic Bairrada Roast Suckling Pig beside the centuries-old amphorae and admire the scenery of the Cértima river basin, with its rice fields, rich wildlife and lush vegetation. From the estate, you can also see Caramulo, the Cruz Alta peak on the Bussaco hills, and the medieval vineyard crossed by a stream, creating a truly memorable setting.
More than a visit, it is an authentic and memorable experience, perfect to share with family, friends, or clients.
