Quinta da Chouza, located in Fermil de Basto, in the sub-region of Basto of Vinhos Verdes, has the privilege of being a space blessed with a natural and idyllic terroir for obtaining white wines and sparkling wines of high quality, with the brand CHÃO DO RIO.

The wines made here reveal an outstanding acidity, involved in firm floral notes with a citric fruit tenacity, which together give them elegance and harmony.

The winemaking process is carried out in the winery, which is equipped with the technology necessary to respect and preserve the most adequate methods in the production of Vinhos Verdes, which have earned such fame.

Quinta da Chouza agroturism and wine tourism, now offers the guests/tourists, a wine exclusively produced in the property - white Vinho Verde DOC (Denominação de Origem Controlada) with the attributions of premium, selected harvest and great choice, with the brand CHÃO DO RIO.

The ENOTECA/TASTING ROOM was conceived and conceived with the purpose of meeting an increasingly versatile and eclectic public, interested in finding out more about the wines produced in the area and in the region, but also with the objective of valorizing the Vinho Verde product of the sub-region of Basto. It intends to provide a space which is correctly inserted in the landscape, where fruitful symposiums may be developed, which will certainly include the vertical tasting of the wines from the winery, complemented by visits to get to know, namely, the vineyard, the grape varieties, the cellar and the backstage of the production of the wines.
