About the Activity
Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo, located in Sabrosa, Vila Real, in the heart of Douro Valley, is currently one of the biggest wine tourism references in Portugal, with a history of more than 250 years.

In this experience, you will enjoy a fantastic dinner composed of 4 Moments, paired with 3 Quinta Nova wines, selected by our winemaker and, fire-opening of a Vintage Port. 

The dinner will be at our restaurant, a reference place in Douro by its location, the discreet service, and its gastronomy. The Douro's regional cuisine, its recipes and the fresh local produce are worked on daily to provide an unrivalled sensory journey.

Experience the Douro gastronomy in one of the oldest, emblematic and beautiful Portuguese wine estates, the Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo!

STARTERS

  • Caramelized onion cream, honey crisp and lumpfish roe;
  • Beet mille-feuille with olives and fennel sauce;
  • Partridge pie with lamb’s lettuce salad and black garlic purée;
  • Pan-seared trout with crispy cornbread, black-eyed peas and sautéed cabbage.

MAIN COURSES

  • Confit cauliflower, grilled lettuce and romanesque sauce;
  • Trás-os-Montes cuscos, wild mushrooms and truffle;
  • Low-temperature milk-fed lamb, crispy roasted potato, truffle and coriander aioli;
  • Pan-seared pike with confit salsify, pak choi and Bulhão Pato sauce;
  • Braised octopus with creamy rice and coriander foam;
  • Guinea fowl with celery in different textures, Romanesco cauliflower and mustard.

DESSERTS

Quinta Nova invites visitors to adopt a smart casual style, but ripped jeans and sportswear are not permitted. Classic shorts are acceptable. Denim shorts, beach shorts and sports shorts are not permitted. Casual trainers are permitted, but pool or beach slippers are not.
