Located in Estremoz, Évora, in the Alentejo heart, João Portugal Ramos is a Portuguese wine reference. His winery, in Vila Santa, with traditional Alentejo elements in its architecture, combines the modern concept and technology in all the wine production process. Currently, João Portugal e Ramos, has wine activity in several regions such as Alentejo, Ribatejo, Beiras, Douro and Vinhos Verdes.

We invite you to visit the winery and cellars of João Portugal Ramos, where you will have the opportunity to know all the history of this producer, his properties, and his wines.

After the tour, you will enjoy a traditional Alentejo exclusive lunch with João Portugal Ramos wines. The lunch includes a welcome appetizer, one starter, two main courses, one dessert and a cheese board.

Welcome Appetizer
  • Regional toasted bread in Oliveira Ramos premium olive oil, sprinkled with salt and oregano;
  • Special regional cheese.

Starter
  • "Alheira" (Portuguese typical sausage) with chopped cabbage and quail egg;
  • Dogfish with coriander and regional crunchy fried bread;
  • "Shepherd style" eggs;
  • Creamy chestnut soup.

Main Course
  • “Vila Santa” codfish with tomato mousse and crispy regional bread sprinkled with pesto;
  • Chef's partridge in port wine sauce;
  • Regional roast beef with foies gras and mushroom sauce, roasted potatoes and spinach purée;
  • Sirloin steaks with black pepper, vegetables and oven-roasted potatoes with spices.
Vegetarian option:
  • Smoked aubergine with cashews layered with vegetable puree;
  • Vegetable Wellington. 

Dessert
  • Water pudding;
  • "Encharcada" (typical Alentejo dessert made with eggs, sugar, and cinnamon);
  • Mango and passion fruit ice cream served with orange slices;
