About the Activity
Quinta do Bomfim is located in the heart of the Upper Douro and belongs to the Symington family, who have managed it for five generations. Visitors are invited to discover the legacy of this historic estate through a visit to the winery, the century-old cellar and the vineyards, with stunning views over the Douro River and the surrounding hillsides.

The tour includes a visit to the museum, where early 20th-century photographs and documents portray the history of the estate, the family, and the region. It continues with a visit to the 1896 cellar, one of the most remarkable structures in the valley, used for over a century to age Port wines before their journey to Vila Nova de Gaia.

The experience concludes with a tasting of three Port wines, reflecting the authenticity and excellence of the Symington family.

  • Vineyard tour (self-guided, includes hat, water bottle and map): €11 per person;
  • Children's tour (from 13 to 17 years old): €11 per person. 
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation 72 hours before the activity. After this period, there will be no refund.
Notes
From March 1 to October 31: every day from 10:30 am to 07:30 pm (last visit at 06:00 pm).
From November 1st to February 28th: Tuesday to Sunday from 09:30 am to 06:30 pm (last visit at 04:30 pm).
Closed: December 25th, January 1st and 2 days in February for team training.
Tours in Spanish are subject to time slot availability.

    “Average” The visit to Quinta do Bomfim winery was interesting and professionally conducted. Unfortunately, when we reached the wine-tasting session, I discovered that we had been assigned to a Port wine tasting, while other visitors nearby were tasting red and white wines.
