Quinta Vale D'Aldeia
Quinta Vale d'Aldeia, located in the heart of the Upper Douro region, the oldest demarcated wine region in the world, was born from the effort and dedication of a family whose main goal is to produce wines of excellence.
Its location, characterized by rich and complex microclimates, allows, from the generous soil and selected grape varieties, a truly unparalleled profitability and quality. This factor is combined with the use of cutting-edge technology in the production and manufacture of wine, which makes Quinta Vale d'Aldeia one of the main wine references in the Douro Demarcated Region.
The vineyards are distributed between altitudes of 350 and 700 meters, allowing the grape varieties to be distributed according to the type of ripeness desired.
In whites, we emphasize the balance between acidity and alcohol level, which is why the white grape varieties are located at a higher altitude, resulting in fresher, more aromatic and, above all, more balanced wines.
In the case of reds, as the ripening process is longer and requires more heat for the phenolic compounds to evolve better, the red grape varieties are located at lower altitudes, favoring this type of ripening.
