About the Activity
With over 100 years of family history, Casa Ermelinda Freitas is a benchmark in wine production in the Setúbal region.

The visit begins on the estate, where you will explore vineyards with 29 grape varieties and learn about both traditional and modern winemaking. It also includes the Gold Room, showcasing the winery’s highest awards, and the cellars with around 3,000 barrels.

You will then visit the House of Memories and Affections, the family’s former winery, where the history of the estate is revealed, from bulk wine sales in 1920 to the launch of the first brand in 1997. Agricultural tools, old lagares, and objects related to harvest traditions enrich the journey. The tour concludes with a tasting of five wines, paired with cheeses, bread, chouriço, and jams.
