Herdade Canal Caveira

It is on the Alentejo coast, at the confluence of two great Portuguese wine-growing regions, Setúbal and the Alentejo, that we find Herdade Canal Caveira.

Cradled by the foothills of the Grândola Mountains, the estate receives the maritime influence of the Alentejo Coast, land of a unique and original microclimate. It has an area of 45 hectares, 25 of which are vineyards and the rest are olive trees, orange trees, cork oaks, Holm oaks, arbutus, and pine trees.

By the road IC1, before the stop for the famous "Cozido à Portuguesa", stands the emblematic house shaped like a castle, greeting those who travel to the Algarve. The vineyards stretching out in the sun, break between the lap of the stream, and the side of the road.

The Winery brings us the proof. In a virtuous reality, the view from the top floor divides itself widely between the village, the mountain range and the plain, while the tinkling of the glasses stirs the smell and taste of the nectars produced here.

With mostly sandy soils, wide temperature range and Atlantic influence, Herdade Canal Caveira produces elegant, complex and persistent wines
A perfect terroir for quality wines and demanding connoisseurs.

With the brand "Serra Brava" (registered in the 70's) between whites, roses and reds we also launched a Moscatel Frisante: the first with quality designation of the Setúbal Peninsula Region. "Vinha Morena" is the brand for entry-level wines and "Herdade Canal Caveira" for top-of-the-range wines.
