Quinta do Pinto

Located in Alenquer, in the heart of the Lisbon Wine Region, Quinta do Anjo covers over 120 hectares, surrounding a 17th-century manor house adjacent to a traditional winery. More than half of the property is already home to around two dozen red, white and national grape varieties that are the basis of the house's calling cards - the wines 'Vinhas do Lasso', 'Terras do Anjo', 'Quinta do Pinto' and 'Quinta do Pinto - Grande Escolha'. For the remaining area, the focus will be on planting Portuguese grape varieties.

History tells us that the wine produced here two centuries ago was so outstanding in the region that it was worth more Pintos, the gold coin in circulation during the reign of King João V. It should be added that Mr. Pinto was once a charismatic steward of this property. Since then, the estate has been referred to in the region as 'the Pinto'. A happy coincidence, Pinto is also the surname of the current owners.

'Quinta do Pinto' has thus become the name of our winemaking project and of one of the wines we are very proud to produce. Producing red, white and rosé wines of recognizably superior quality, and which are the greatest exponent of the Lisbon wine region, is the motivation of the Cardoso Pinto Family in this project.
