Located in the heart of the Douro Valley, between Pinhão and São João da Pesqueira near a rural village called Ervedosa do Douro, Quinta da Gricha expresses the nobility and beauty of the region. To these natural features, we associate a distinguished ambient and a timeless history to present Churchill’s wine tourism.

Quinta da Gricha opened in May 2017, with the purpose of presenting Churchill’s concept and the company’s Douro and Port wines. Here you can enjoy Churchill’s wines, paired with the Portuguese gastronomy, and surrounded by a unique setting – a World Heritage Site.

Gricha is home to the distinguished Churchill’s Ports and Douro Wines, which have achieved numerous accolades during the last decades and today rank among the world’s most prestigious wines.

The charm of Gricha continues at the table, where the best regional dishes and desserts go together with our Churchill’s wines.

We will take you on a tour, visiting the vineyards and the historic lodge built in 1852, with its unique granite mills, explaining the importance of the terroir and different grape varieties of our style of wines.

Weather permitting, the Patio das Laranjeiras is the perfect setting for lunch under the orange trees. Should the weather not allow you to sit outside, then the perfect alternative is to lunch inside the kitchen with its traditional beamed ceilings and original stone oven.

Our cuisine is based on traditional dishes from the Douro region and the North of Portugal.

Quinta da Gricha’s 50 hectare vineyard now includes a charming residence. The old baronial house was carefully restored, combining history and innovation, with modern day comforts which will make you feel quite at home. Quinta da Gricha has four queen size bedrooms, including bathrooms with large showers. The decor is elegant and comfortable. Guests can also enjoy a sitting Room, a dining Room and a veranda.

Gricha was designed for relaxing. You can either stroll through the vineyards to witness the daily vineyard work in progress or relax on the balcony contemplating the past with a glass of fine old Vintage Port or the future with an expressive and seductive style of Quinta da Gricha Douro red wine.
