Quinta da Casaboa
Quinta da Casaboa, located 40 km from Lisbon in Runa, Torres Vedras, has been owned by the Ferreira dos Santos family for 3 generations and is dedicated to the production and bottling of wine.
Originally dating back to the 18th century, the 120-hectare Quinta da Casaboa was acquired in 1958 by João Ferreira dos Santos, a businessman in Mozambique. Since then, wine production has been a reality.
It was in the tranquility of the estate that João Ferreira dos Santos occupied his free time, dividing it between walks in the beautiful gardens and the wine-making activity that he followed with pleasure.
The passion and taste continued through the following generations, who felt the need to give the business a new stimulus, in order to respond to the challenges of modern times.
Quinta da Casaboa produces wines with its own grapes from 50 hectares of Touriga Nacional, Alicante Bouschet, Tinta Roriz, Merlot, Alvarinho and Arinto varieties.
Following good agricultural practices that lead to the continuous improvement of products and processes, the wine estate operates in perfect harmony with nature, respecting production cycles through efficient resource management.
The dedication and enthusiasm of a young, multi-faceted team from management, marketing, viticulture and oenology contribute to Quinta da Casaboa's wines being a benchmark for quality, innovation, and class.
