Ribafreixo Wines is a wine project spanning 114 hectares, located in Vidigueira, one of the Alentejo’s most historic wine regions, with more than two thousand years of winemaking tradition. At the highest point of Herdade do Moinho Branco, the winery stands out for its contemporary architecture, spacious interiors filled with natural light, and a 4,000 m² bioclimatic building designed to use gravity throughout all stages of production.
The vineyards express the identity of the project, led by the Antão Vaz grape variety, alongside Arinto, Verdelho, Síria, and Alvarinho. A unique parcel in Portugal is dedicated to Chenin Blanc, complemented by red varieties such as Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Tinta Miúda, and Aragonez. On the upper floor, the wine tourism area includes the winery restaurant, tasting room, leisure spaces, and wine shop, creating a welcoming environment for visitors.
The Terroir experience includes a guided visit to the vineyards and the winery, concluding with a guided tasting of four wines. Designed to immerse participants in the world of wine, it offers the opportunity to discover the unique characteristics of Ribafreixo Wines and the singular terroir of Vidigueira, in the Lower Alentejo.
