Gerações da Talha

Gerações da Talha Winery is located in Vila de Frades, in the municipality of Vidigueira, about forty minutes from Évora and twenty from Beja. Dating back to the mid-18th century, it is a place of tradition and ancestral knowledge, where generations have perfected the art of authentic Amphora Wine.

The winery was acquired around a century ago by Francisco Nogueira Anacleto, who masterfully passed on his passion and expertise in Amphora Wine to the following generations. This legacy was embraced with enthusiasm by his son-in-law, Professor Arlindo Maria Ruivo, who devoted his life to this unique nectar of the Alentejo. Today, his children and grandchildren continue to preserve and celebrate this ancient craft, giving rise to the project Gerações da Talha.

Created to honour and preserve the genuine production of Amphora Wine, this project keeps alive a two-thousand-year-old tradition deeply rooted in the wineries and people of Vila de Frades.
