About the Activity
Discover Quinta do Seixo, owned by Sogrape and located in the Cima-Corgo at the heart of the Douro Demarcated Region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Blending the charm of a seventeenth-century estate with a contemporary design winery, the property offers one of the most spectacular landscapes in the Douro, shaped by terraced schist vineyards overlooking the river and the village of Pinhão.

The experience begins with a guided visit to the winery, wine cellar and robotic “lagares”, supported by multimedia elements that illustrate each stage of the winemaking process. The visit concludes with a tasting of a Port Wine, revealing the character and identity of this unique terroir.

To complete the experience, enjoy a regional picnic among the vineyards, featuring traditional Douro products paired with Quinta do Seixo wines. An outdoor moment of relaxation, surrounded by nature and one of the most iconic views in the region.

    “Wow” Absolutely amazing! We arrived and went on the tour and after everyone was undertaking a port tasting, we were Sat slightly apart from everyone else as they did their tasting different ports, and were given one glass each of a beautiful port to drink.

    After the others finished their tasting we were taken away and walked through the vineyards to the single most beautiful spot I have ever seen, completely private with a small fountain, a picnic table and blankets and pillows on the floor under fig trees, its own toilet, and a huge selection of food left out for us along with 2 bottles of wine and a bottle of port all on ice for us to have all included!!! The wines were explained to us, and we were then left for as long as we liked to eat the food and have a nap under the fig trees!

    It was the highlight of our trip, I can’t recommend it enough!     Jack, 13 ago 2023
