Located in Santa Marta de Penaguião, Horta Osório Wines blends three centuries of family history with the modern vision of Menin Wine Company. The estate spans 55 hectares in Baixo Corgo, featuring traditional old vineyards and schist soils. Situated along the iconic N2 road, the estate benefits from a mild climate that gives its wines a unique elegance and freshness, typical of this Douro sub-region.

The winery is a masterpiece of innovative architecture, designed by Frederico Valsassina and João Horta Osório, perfectly integrated into the terrain's contours. We invite you to discover this avant-garde space on a guided tour that culminates in a traditional lunch in the panoramic tasting room. Enjoy authentic regional flavors, paired with a selection of four wines from the MWC portfolio, while taking in stunning views over the Douro and the Marão Mountains.

Notes
April to October: available Monday to Saturday from 10.00 to 13.00 and 14.00 to 19.00.
November to March: available Monday to Saturday from 9:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 18:00.
Sundays and public holidays by prior appointment of at least 1 week.

We have a shop, with the same opening hours as the tours, where you can buy all the wines in MWC's portfolio except those in disruption or in a situation of apportionment.

We have parking facilities for light passenger vehicles and minibuses up to 12 seats.

    “Grande descoberta!” Já visitamos algumas quintas no Douro e acredito que a Adega Horta Osório terá provavelmente a melhor vista da região. A adega fica localizada no topo da montanha (o caminho para chegar não é fácil), com umas vistas espetaculares, quase ao nível das núveas.
    Fomos muito bem recebidos pela Mafalda que nos guiou por toda a experiência, tendo sido eximia nas explicações e até na paciência que teve com o nosso grupo.     Alice, 21 set 2023
