About the Activity
Adega de Palmela, a historic wine cooperative in the Setúbal Peninsula, has played a key role in the region since 1955. With a strong connection to its land and producers, it has helped shape local identity and carry the name of Palmela across Portugal and the world.

Today, with around three hundred members and more than sixty-five years of cooperative tradition, the winery benefits from one thousand hectares of vineyards. Its annual production exceeds eight million liters, with seventy percent red wines, twenty percent white wines and ten percent Muscatel. A balance that reflects both tradition and innovation.

The experience begins with a guided tour of the winery, offering an overview of the entire production unit and the winemaking processes used to craft their wines and Moscatel. From grape reception to fermentation and aging, you will learn how the wines of Adega de Palmela come to life.

At the end of the visit, you will enjoy a tasting of three Reserva wines paired with regional products. A perfect opportunity to discover the character and quality of this emblematic winery.

    “An exceptional experience ” The tour before the tasting was interesting and gave us the history of wine making in the region. The wine cellar where we did the tasting was decorated beautifully.
