Filipe Palhoça Vinhos
When we talk about the history of Filipe Palhoça Vinhos we are describing a love story of the vineyard inherited from fathers to sons. It all began in 1950, when Filipe Jorge Palhoça founded this family company dedicated to wine production in the Setúbal Peninsula with its roots in a small winery belonging to his father, João Loureiro Palhoça.
From an early age, in love with viticulture, Filipe Palhoça managed with hard work and dedication, to acquire new properties and was for decades oriented towards selling at the winery door. The quality of the wines won the hearts of loyal customers making him one of the most respected producers in the region. In 1984, the modern winery at Quinta da Invejosa was built where, in the mid 1990's, the family started bottling their own brand of wine.
Today, Filipe Palhoça Vinhos is one of the most dynamic wine companies in the Setúbal Peninsula region, investing in the creation of wines for the modern consumer based on the typical grape varieties of the region such as Arinto, Castelão, Fernão Pires, Moscatel Graúdo or Moscatel Roxo, to which it has added some of the best international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah.
The focus on wine tourism is one of the foundations of the strategy to bring together Filipe Palhoça Vinhos and its visitors and consumers. We have a store open to the public, visits and tastings, as well as a space for holding the most diverse events.
