About the Activity
Located in Palmela, Setúbal, Quinta do Piloto is a family owned estate that preserves the region’s winemaking tradition through four generations of the Cardoso family.

The experience includes a guided visit to the property, where the origins of the estate and the winemaking methods characteristic of Palmela are presented, with access to the winery, tasting room, wine shop, and event spaces.

Set in Serra do Louro, the winery stands out for its gravity flow winemaking system, natural lighting, and thick walls that ensure thermal stability. The use of autovinifiers, a traditional regional method, is complemented by modern temperature control and sustainable practices that harness the natural energy of fermentation.

Surrounded by a rural landscape with open views over Lisbon and the Tagus Valley, the experience concludes with a guided tasting of six Quinta do Piloto wines, offering a clear expression of the estate’s identity.
