Quinta do Crasto
Quinta do Crasto is one of the most iconic estates in the Douro Valley. Located in Gouvinhas, between Régua and Pinhão, the property dates back to 1615 but has been owned by the Roquette family since 1910, now in its fourth generation of winemaking.
Renowned for its heritage of old vines, some over 100 years old planted in traditional field blends, Quinta do Crasto is a benchmark for collectors and lovers of Port and DOC Douro wines. The vineyards spread across steep south-facing schist slopes within a landscape classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001.
Among its most awarded wines are Crasto Vinhas Velhas, Crasto Superior, Touriga Nacional and the Vintage Ports, all of which regularly earn high scores at Wine Spectator and Decanter.
The wine tourism experience at Quinta do Crasto combines cellar visits, vineyard walks, guided tastings and meals with river views. The iconic infinity pool overlooking the Douro has become one of the visual symbols of Portuguese wine tourism. Premium programmes include food and wine pairings and visits to century-old vines.
