Quinta de Marrocos
Quinta de Marrocos is a family wine estate that has been in the Galante Correia Sequeira family for generations. It is located on the left bank of the River Douro, in the Baixo Corgo region, the origin of the Demarcated Port Wine Region, and is one of the oldest estates in the Douro.
Just five minutes from Régua, on the way to Pinhão, you'll find the picturesque old-style masonry and stone buildings that are now the family home and cellars.
The vineyards at Quinta de Marrocos extend up to 180 meters in altitude, on terraces supported by "dry stone walls", where old vines predominate, characterised by the DNA of noble and ancient grape varieties from the Douro region. Exposure to the north is a key factor, promoting gentle ripening of the grapes. The altitude provides mild temperatures and the river breeze cools the vines at night.
It is these vines that give rise to the wide variety of wines that the wine estate offers, including Douro reds, whites and rosés, as well as 30- and 40-year-old Ports.
Quinta de Marrocos also offers accommodation, characterised by tradition and comfort, as well as gastronomic experiences based on local products and typical Portuguese dishes.
Come and explore the rich history and location of Quinta de Marrocos, indulge in a wine tasting and enjoy family accommodation, meals, and events.
