Quinta de Lemos

Quinta de Lemos is situated in the Dão valley, just 7 km from Viseu, in the oldest wine producing region in Portugal. Combining quality, tradition and modernism, Quinta de Lemos produces exceptional wines. At its helm is winemaker Hugo Chaves and his team.

Integrated in the granite landscape, surrounded by the vineyards, is the restaurant, Mesa de Lemos.

Quinta de Lemos consists of 25 hectares of vineyards, 7 hectares of olive groves, orchards, vegetable garden, pine forest and gardens, a total of 50 hectares of impressive views. Granite and sandy soils mark its terroir, well protected by four large mountain ranges - Estrela, Caramulo, Buçaco and Nave. The climate is continental, with an Atlantic influence, which translates into humidity and freshness.

The Lemos family coat of arms was reinterpreted and the wine state´s logo was based on the four crescent moons, grouped in a circle, in a common trace that connects them, signi?cating the four directions in which this Portuguese family explores the world, the four mountain ranges that surround the farm, the four main grape varieties produced there and the team's motto, also composed of four words: humanity, simplicity, vision and sharing.
