On this 10-hour tour, starting in Porto, we invite you to visit the region of Vinhos Verdes and its fresh homonymous wines, as well as several small towns in Minho and all their heritage,
in history and culture, not forgetting the visit to local wine estates.
Our first destination will be Melgaço, the northernmost municipality in Portugal and one of the two subregions where Alvarinho is king. Here we will visit one of the most famous wine estates in the region, which is still family-run and has been producing excellent nectars since 1982, where we will start by tasting some unexpected products: infusions! You will have a small breakfast paired with the infusions created by this wine estate that will awaken your senses. Then we will visit the property: the infusion fields, the cellar, and finally, we will taste the exceptional wines.
After the visit, we will stop at a typical restaurant, where we will have a delicious regional lunch waiting for us. Here you will also have the opportunity to taste cured meats accompanied by red and Vinho Verde wine!
Then, with our energies restored, we will travel to the nearby town of Monção, also famous for the Alvarinho wine that is produced in its lands. Here we will find a family wine estate where traditions are a tribute to their ancestors, but also high technology is used to produce the best wines.
