About the Activity
Located in the golden triangle of the most prestigious Douro estates, in Valença do Douro (Tabuaço), Quinta da Côrte stands out for its authenticity and the balance between tradition and modern expertise, producing wines of excellence.

In this experience, we invite you to take part in the wine estate’s harvest program, beginning with a guided tour through the vineyards. Here, you will have the opportunity to meet the viticulturist and the technical team at the heart of the parcels in full harvest.

Next, it is time to get hands-on: with bucket and scissors in hand, you will join the grape picking, as well as the collection and transport of the baskets to the winery. Once at the winery, you will experience the traditional foot treading in the granite wine presses.

The program culminates with a tasting of selected wines, followed by a delicious regional lunch.

Program:
  • Guided tour of the vineyards;
  • Meeting with the winemaker and the technical team in the heart of the vineyards being harvested that day;
  • Participation in the grape harvest, with buckets and shears provided;
  • Collecting and transporting the baskets to the winery;
  • Provision of equipment (T-shirt and shorts) for the traditional foot-treading in the granite wine presses, a tradition we keep very much alive;
  • Tasting of selected wines at the end of the experience;
  • Lunch, consisting of a choice of two dishes, water, and wine by the glass.

Cancellation up to 48 hours in advance: no charge;
Cancellation less than 48 hours in advance or no-show: 100% charge.

Quinta da Côrte reserves the right to cancel, postpone or adjust the location of the program whenever unforeseen circumstances justify it, ensuring that participants are given adequate advance notice.

The program takes place every day during our harvest period (between September and October), which may vary depending on the weather conditions.
