About the Activity
When visiting the Azores, you can't miss wine tourism activities, in one of the most renowned wineries in Pico, the Cooperativa Vitivinícola da Ilha do Pico - Picowines, and its famous volcanic wines!

Considered “Cidade do Vinho 2017” (Wine City of 2017), the municipality of Madalena, in Pico, has been gaining notoriety and standing out for the uniqueness of its vineyards, distinguished as a World Heritage Site, by UNESCO, in the year 2004, being one of the thirteen wine-growing regions in the world that holds the title of World Heritage.

We invite you to come to the Cooperativa Vitivinícola da Ilha do Pico and taste 5 wines: tasting of white wines, from blends of local and European grape varieties, persistent in the mouth and rich in minerality, to the vibrant and fruity single varietals Arinto dos Açores and Verdelho. It is an "atlantic" journey that allows you to get to know the unique profile of each white wine.
