About the Activity

The historic Caves Graham's, built in 1890 on a hill in Vila Nova de Gaia, offer spectacular views over the Douro river, the historic centre of the city of Porto and the iconic D. Luís I Bridge, which connects the cities of Porto and Gaia.

The cellars are still in operation these days, so during your visit you will hear the sounds of workers at the barrel maintenance, cleaning or simply sampling wine for the tasting room.

The building currently houses over 2,000 "pipas" (oak barrels) and 40 barrels and "balseiros" (large oak barrels) of Port wine, as well as extensive Vintage Port wine cellars, ageing in bottle.

We invite you to join a guided tour of the cellars, which will conclude with a tasting of 3 Super Premium Vintage Ports, in the Vintage tasting room.

After the visit and tasting, you will have time for a mini-break on the terrace, and immediately afterwards, you will have dinner at the Vinum Restaurant, integrated in the lodges' building, with a high quality gastronomic proposal. You will enjoy a tasting menu, suggested by the Chef, paired with premium wines and that will bring to the table the best traditions of the Douro.
