Casa Lata - Vinho Verde Tasting & Regional Snacks

Located in the heart of Minho, Casa Lata – Agrotourism sits on a 3.6-hectare rural property in Amares, between Braga and the Peneda-Gerês National Park. Once a traditional Minho farmhouse, it preserves the heritage of agricultural life through landmarks such as the granary, wine press, alembic, and traditional farming tools. The décor maintains the charm of earlier times, highlighted by the former winery – now the living room – where the original stone “lagar” still remains.

In this setting that blends tradition with countryside living, a modern winery now produces wines from the native grape varieties of the Vinhos Verdes region, grown between the Cávado and Homem rivers. The experience begins with a guided visit to the estate and the winery, offering insight into the property’s history, heritage, and family spirit.

The program concludes with a tasting of three Terras de Amares wines and a Bruto sparkling wine, paired with a selection of regional snacks that vary according to the season.
