Quanta Terra

Founded in 1999 by winemakers Celso Pereira and Jorge Alves, Quanta Terra has established itself as a reference in the production of exceptional still wines from one of the Douro’s most emblematic terroirs: the Alijó Plateau and the Tua Valley.

In 2022, under the motto “The place where wine and art meet,” the historic Distillery No. 7 was revitalized and transformed into a dynamic cultural center for Quanta Terra, now hosting works by the renowned contemporary artist Joana Vasconcelos.

Since then, Quanta Terra | Distillery No. 7 has become the stage for exclusive events, including art exhibitions, concerts, and conferences, strengthening its position as a leading wine tourism destination. This recognition is reflected in distinctions awarded by the Great Wine Capitals, with the prestigious Best of Wine Tourism award (2023 and 2025), and by the IVDP with the Wine Tourism Distinction at the Douro + Sustainable Awards.
