About the Activity
Guarded by its emblematic twin cypresses, the Quinta de Marrocos is a family wine estate that has been in the Galante Correia Sequeira family for generations. It is located on the left bank of the River Douro, in the Baixo Corgo region, the origin of the Demarcated Port Wine Region, and is one of the oldest estates in the Douro. With vineyards extending up to 180 meters in altitude, on terraces supported by "dry stone walls", the wine estate produces famous Douro and Port wines. 

Come and explore a wine estate with an incomparable history, where you can enjoy an impressive panoramic view over the Douro river and get to know the Douro and its traditions. We invite you to get to know Quinta de Marrocos on a guided tour to the vineyards, wine press and winery. You'll learn about the harshness of farming, the richness of the grape varieties, the process of transforming grapes into wine and the history of a family that represents the 6th generation of love for the Douro.  Afterward, you'll take part in a dinner prepared by Chef Isabel in a gustatory experience that is a true testament of respect for the roots and a dive into traditional recipes, that reflect the country's heritage.

    “Great experience!” This place is a gem! We stayed two nights and were treated like family. Caesar, Joseph and the rest of the staff were attentive and friendly. Joseph gave us an excellent wine tour and helped in so many other ways. The accommodations are quaint but very nice. It’s worth staying there to meet Caesar he kept us entertained!
