Quinta dos Capuchos
Honouring the history and spirituality of the Cistercians of Santa Maria de Alcobaça (12th century), Quinta dos Capuchos has been producing wines for over a century.
Quinta dos Capuchos is part of a unique terroir in the southern section of the Alcoa River valley, between the Serra dos Candeeiros and the hills of Alcobaça.
The vineyards are planted on Jurassic, clayey, calcareous soils on gentle slopes where the Atlantic influence contributes to excellent ripening conditions.
We practise viticulture with respect for nature, where the use of traditional grape varieties and a minimum of external factors contribute to the production of authentic, exclusive and high quality wines.
Our wine has been recognized in some of the most important international competitions (Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, International Wine Challenge ... (7 gold medals, 10 silver medals).
