Quevedo
Quevedo is a family-owned producer of Port and Douro wines, deeply rooted in the Douro Valley, blending tradition with a modern and independent spirit.
Although the family has been producing wine for over five generations, the Quevedo brand was officially founded in 1993, when Óscar and Beatriz Quevedo decided to stop selling grapes to third parties and started bottling their own wines. Today, the fifth generation, Cláudia and Óscar Jr., carry the family legacy forward.
Production is based at the Quinta Senhora do Rosário, in São João da Pesqueira, in the Douro Superior, at 650 meters above sea level. This is where the newly renovated winery is located, surrounded by 100 hectares of vineyards and 25 hectares of organic olive groves. The diversity of terroirs creates wines with strong character, authenticity, and environmental responsibility.
In Vila Nova de Gaia, Quevedo opened its Lodge, housed in a 200-year-old former cooperage. This welcoming and stylish space hosts wine tastings, food pairings, workshops, and even live fado sessions.
Whether in the Douro or in Gaia, Quevedo offers authentic wine tourism experiences — from guided tours and curated tastings to local lunches, blind tastings, Port wine blending workshops, and vineyard picnics overlooking the valley.
