Casa da Tojeira

Casa da Tojeira is a producer of green wines and sparkling wines, located in Cabeceiras de Basto.

Integrated in the Vinho Verde Demarcated Region, Sub-Region of Basto, Casa da Tojeira has climatic constraints which give its wines their own intrinsic typicality and personality.

Our terroir has an Atlantic and continental influence since we are in a high-altitude area, which allows us to obtain wines with great structure and complexity.

Twenty hectares of vineyards and beautiful gardens, a large patio, and wide lawns surround this 17th-century manor house planted in the parish of Faia, in Cabeceiras de Basto, which gained new life at the hands of Mário Sousa. The manor house, inherited by the businessman at the end of the 20th century, has undergone a restoration that has kept the original features and the interiors of the time as well as its elegant ambiance, with antique furniture and dark wood ceilings, and charming places, such as the pleasant balustraded veranda overlooking the imposing entrance to the manor house.

It has lounges ideal for wine events and meals. The manor house also has a chapel and a vast museum space where you can learn more about the history of Casa da Tojeira.
