On Pico Island, wine culture has shaped the landscape and identity of the island for centuries. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Protected Vineyard Landscape reveals black stone walls, basalt vineyards, and a territory defined by nature’s power and human resilience.

This tour explores the North Zone, including a guided visit to Lajido de Santa Luzia and the protected vineyard landscape, where you will learn about traditional winemaking methods. The program includes a regional lunch and a wine tasting at Pico Island’s Cooperative Winery. A journey through time showcasing tradition, biodiversity, and Azorean authenticity.
