About the Activity

Quinta de la Rosa, located in the heart of the Alto Douro along the banks of the river, near Pinhão, invites you to enjoy a wine and food break in one of the most emblematic wineries in the Douro Valley.

Quinta de la Rosa is unusual as we are able to show the whole port and wine making process from the vineyard to the final bottle. Most port houses make their Port in the Douro but store and bottle it in Vila Nova da Gaia, in Porto. We do everything in the Douro. Not only that, but we are able to show both wine and port making processes side by side.

We invite you to participate in a private guided tour to the vineyards of Vale do Inferno, followed by a private tour to the winery and traditional ageing cellar. In this detailed activity, you will learn about our vineyards, the production processes used and the family history. At the end of the tour, you will enjoy a premium tasting of 6 wines, DOC Douro and Port wines.

Notes

There are many stairs between the cellar and winery, so we do not recommend booking tours for people with reduced mobility.
We recommend wearing comfortable shoes, light clothing, a hat, and sunscreen. A bottle of water will be provided.
