About the Activity

José Maria da Fonseca, located in Vila Nogueira de Azeitão, Setúbal, invites you to come and discover the essence of a wine family with almost 200 years of history.

The visit to the Museum House begins with a brief explanation of the company’s history, followed by a tour of the ancient wine cellars: Adega da Mata and Adega dos Teares Novos, where wines such as Periquita mature, and Adega dos Teares Velhos, where the oldest Setúbal Muscatels (Muscatels or Moscateis) rest.

At the end of the visit you will taste 3 premium wines (one white wine, one red wine, and one Moscatel de Setúbal) paired with some regional snacks.

“Great tour.” There was no port winery in Lisbon. But there is great wine and a fantastic place "yours"
My wife and I have never been to a winery before. Our tour guide was fantastic and was able to answer all the questions we had on the tour. Beautiful area and a really exciting tour of your winery. At the end we tasted the 4 samples there were and with great tapas. We bought 3 bottles of your Moscatel 2 of 5 years and a single 20 years. We didn't have room for more in our suitcases. All in all a really lovely experience and a place we would highly recommend to others going to Lisbon.
