About the Activity
Built in 1890 on a hill in Vila Nova de Gaia, the historic Graham’s Cellars offer privileged views over the Douro River, Porto’s historic center, and the iconic Dom Luís I Bridge. Still fully operational, they preserve the authentic atmosphere of daily cellar life. During the visit, you can hear the workers maintaining the casks, carrying out cleaning routines, and collecting samples for tasting. The building houses more than 2,000 casks and 40 large oak vats of Port wine, as well as extensive areas dedicated to the bottle aging of Vintage Ports.

The experience includes a guided tour of the cellars, culminating in a tasting of 3 Port wines held in the main tasting room. After the tasting, enjoy a relaxing moment on the terrace before lunch at Vinum restaurant, located within the cellars. The Chef’s tasting menu is paired with premium wines and draws inspiration from the finest culinary traditions of the Douro.
