About the Activity
Sail up the Douro from Régua to Barca d'Alva, next to the Spanish border, on a full-day cruise along the wildest and least known stretch of the river. The journey crosses the heart of the Alto Douro Wine Region and enters the Upper Douro, where vineyard slopes give way to almond and olive groves and schist cliffs.

On board, breakfast is served, followed by Port Wine and lunch, and an afternoon snack later in the day. Along the way, the boat goes up three dams, Bagaúste, Valeira and Pocinho, remarkable moments that show the scale of engineering built into the Douro landscape. The return to Régua is by train from Pocinho Station.

Discover the Douro from end to end and take in the grandeur of the valley.
