Quinta São João Batista - Pruning Experience

The Enoport Wines Group resulted from the union of some of the oldest and most prestigious Portuguese wine companies, all of them family-owned and each holding a distinct and defined speciality that earned them national and international recognition.

Acquired in 1987 by Caves Dom Teodósio (a company that would later become part of the Enoport Wines Group), Quinta São João Batista is located in the Paul Do Boquilobo Nature Reserve, Portugal's first protected area in the Biosphere Network. The centuries-old history of the estate is well represented in the colonial-style manor house and also includes the architectural complex with excellent cellars for ageing wine (with 585 barrels, it is one of the largest in the Tejo region), a traditional winery and a modern winemaking centre. It has a total area of 145 hectares, of which 130 hectares are planted with vines.

Join us and experience a day pruning one of our vineyards. Pruning is one of the essential steps in preparing the vines for the following season. It takes place in winter, when the vines are less active. A unique opportunity that will certainly be enriching.
