About the Activity
The Douro Museum, located in Peso da Régua, is the leading institution dedicated to preserving, studying and promoting the cultural and wine heritage of the Douro Demarcated Region, with particular focus on Port wine. It is within this setting that the guided tastings “Laboratory of Flavours” take place, designed to deepen the connection with the region and its wines.

Led by a wine specialist and supported by a multimedia presentation, the session offers a sensory journey through the aromas, flavors, and colors that define Douro and Port wines.

The tasting includes two Douro DOC wines, white and red, one Muscatel and two Port wines, Tawny 20 Years and Vintage, paired with dried fruits from the Douro region. At the end, visitors may explore the museum’s exhibition areas independently and visit the Museum Shop, where the wines tasted are available for purchase.

An enriching activity for those wishing to gain a deeper understanding of the Douro’s wine heritage.

The wines from the tasting can be purchased at the Douro Museum shop with a 10% discount on retail prices. 
Does not include a guided tour. 
Cancellation policy
Cancellation up to 7 days before the date of the experience: a fee of 25% will be held of the total amount paid.
Cancellation less than 7 days before the date of the experience: 50% of the total amount paid will be held.

Summer (March 1 to October 31): Every day, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Winter (November 1 to February 28): Every day, 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Closed: December 25, January 1, May 1. On December 24 and 31, closes at 1:00 p.m.
