On this luxury wine and gastronomy tour through the Alentejo region, designed by Portugal by Wine, you are invited to discover three reference wine projects in the Lower Alentejo, accompanied by a professional sommelier who will enrich the entire experience with technical insights, tasting notes, and detailed explanations about terroir and grape varieties. Among prestigious estates, outstanding wines, and gastronomy that reflect the essence of the Alentejo, the day is fully dedicated to the diversity and wine identity of this iconic region.

Throughout the journey, you will enjoy direct contact with different winemaking approaches, exploring contrasts between harvests while understanding how climate, soil, and human intervention shape the profile of Alentejo wines. Your transfer to Vidigueira is enriched by the sommelier’s introduction to the region’s wine history and characteristics. The journey sets the tone for a program defined by premium wines, refined cuisine, and exclusive experiences.

The morning unfolds at Quinta do Quetzal, recognized for its blend of contemporary architecture, art, and superior wines. The journey begins with a walk through the vineyards, followed by a guided tour of the modern winery to explore the techniques behind Quetzal wines. The experience concludes with a refined lunch at the restaurant, where Alentejo cuisine meets contemporary touches, paired with Quetzal wines in a tasting led by a Sommelier.

Quinta do Paral
The experience continues at at Quinta do Paral, an emerging wine project in the Baixo Alentejo. You will explore the vineyards and winery while the sommelier highlights grape varieties, techniques, and regional styles. The tasting features premium wines paired with local delicacies.  
Herdade Grande
Herdade Grande
The afternoon ends at Herdade Grande, a family-run producer that stands out for its dedication to authenticity and the unique expression of the Alentejo terroir. The experience begins with a guided tour of the estate, where you will learn about the family’s winemaking tradition and the processes behind their distinctive wines. The tour continues with an exclusive tasting of limited edition wines. 

Return to Lisbon
Return to Lisbon
At day’s end, the return to Lisbon provides time to unwind while recalling the highlights. Your sommelier shares final insights before drop-off at the airport, hotel, or city center. A memorable day of elegance, learning, and Alentejo identity.

Detailed program:
8:15 a.m. - Pick-up at Humberto Delgado Airport, hotels, or downtown Lisbon;
Transfer to Vidigueira;
11:00 a.m. - Guided tour of Quinta do Quetzal, followed by a tasting lunch, Chef's suggestion, paired;
02:30 p.m. - Guided tour of Quinta do Paral, with premium wine tasting accompanied by regional snacks;
4:00 p.m. - Guided tour of Herdade Grande, with tasting of Limited Edition wines;
5:15 p.m. - Transfer to Lisbon;
7:45 p.m. - Drop-off at Humberto Delgado Airport, hotels, or downtown Lisbon;
End of services!

Takes place from Wednesday to Saturday. 
Cancellation policy
Cancellation up to 15 days before the arrival date: a 5% fee will be additionally charged;
Cancellation in less than 15 days before the arrival date: 100% of the total amount will be charged;
No-show: you will be charged 100% of the total amount.

The partners, venues and activities included in the tour are subject to confirmation and may be replaced by equivalent alternatives;
The sommelier will accompany the group during tours and tastings, but will not be present during lunch. If you would like his company during this time as well, please let us know in advance;
The price presented is a base rate and may vary according to the date and programme customization;
Included experiences may be adjusted to client preferences or partner availability, with price updates if applicable;
Transport and chauffeur service are private; visits and activities may be shared with other participants. An upgrade to a fully private tour is available at an additional cost;
