About the Activity
Get to know the gardens of Mateus Palace and the city of Vila Real, where we will talk about the traditions of Trás-os-Montes through the Circuit and the historic streets.

The experience begins with a visit to Mateus Palace, where there will always be time for a short photo session at the lake and in the gardens. Next, we will return to the city centre through the roads of the Circuit which has existed since 1931, setting off to discover the tourist and historical points of interest.

While exploring the historical centre of Vila Real, you will have the opportunity to visit a conventual sweets factory and taste its sweets, accompanied by a good Port wine. This will also be an excellent opportunity to learn about the traditions and customs of the region.

Venture on this tour in the company of a very old car and a local guide.

Highlights:
  • Private tour in an old car;
  • Entrance at Mateus Palace with a visit to the gardens;
  • Visit to the viewpoint;
  • Visit to the city's places of historical interest;
  • Visit to the conventual sweets factory;
  • Tasting of Port wine and traditional sweets.

    “Unforgettable day” We did this tour in a classic car, and it was the best experience we could have had!

    João is a great guide and thinks of everything.

    Along the way, he told us a lot about the history of this beautiful region of Portugal as he took lots of photos!

    We had a very enjoyable day and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the region.

    Thank you, João! Sam, 31 mai 2023
