About the Activity
Herdade do Rocim, located between Cuba and Vidigueira, is today a benchmark in amphora wine production, combining ancestral techniques with modern processes to create wines of remarkable freshness. In 2018, the estate pioneered the first “Amphora Wine Day”, an event entirely dedicated to this ancient tradition.

This exclusive experience invites you to explore the history of amphora wines, a Vidigueira heritage dating back to Roman times. In partnership with local producers from Vila Alva and Vila de Frades, the tour reveals the region’s terroir, traditional production methods, and includes tastings of distinctive wines from native grape varieties.

The Amphora Wine Tour is a full-day journey along the Roman via vitis, uncovering the authenticity and uniqueness of amphora wines.

Join us to discover the millenary heritage of Alentejo and its unique amphora wines!

Highlights of the Tour:
  • Visit, tasting, and lunch at Herdade do Rocim, paired with Herdade do Rocim amphora wines;
  • Visit and tasting at two local partner producers.

    “Tour e vinhos maravilhosos!”
Isabella, 26 jul 2023
