About the Activity
On this luxury wine & gastronomy tour designed by Portugal by Wine, you are invited to discover the Vinho Verde Wine Region over two days of authentic experiences. Among green landscapes, local traditions and uniquely fresh wines, this journey takes you to the heart of one of Portugal’s most distinctive regions.

Throughout the program you will visit leading wine estates, enjoy tastings of different styles, explore historic gardens and discover Amarante, one of the region’s most charming towns. Accommodation is provided at a wine hotel surrounded by vineyards, offering comfort, tranquility and an inspiring atmosphere.

The second day includes an interactive workshop where you will create your own Vinho Verde blend, followed by further tastings and a regional meal. A complete experience that combines wine tourism, gastronomy and culture, ideal for those wishing to explore the region in depth. Immerse yourself in the authenticity of Vinho Verde and enjoy two memorable days in northern Portugal.

The tour begins with a pick-up at Sá Carneiro Airport, your hotel, or the city center of Porto or Vila Nova de Gaia. The journey takes place in a top-of-the-range vehicle, accompanied by a professional chauffeur specialized in wine tourism. As you leave the city heading North, the landscape transforms into the lush green valleys and pergola-trained vineyards that herald the Vinho Verde Region, marking the start of a journey dedicated to the freshness, elegance, and unique grape varieties of this prestigious terroir.

Quinta da Aveleda
Your morning continues with a guided tour of Quinta da Aveleda, exploring its historic gardens and traditional winery spaces. The visit reveals the estate’s heritage, architecture and wine production philosophy, set amidst charming vineyard scenery. The experience culminates with a traditional Portuguese lunch harmonized with selected estate wines. It is a complete moment that blends gastronomy, wine, and history. An ideal introduction to the region’s identity.

Sem Igual
In the afternoon, you head to Sem Igual, a boutique winery known for combining innovation with local winemaking traditions. Here you will learn about the estate’s philosophy and methods, discovering how different styles of Vinho Verde are crafted. A guided tasting follows, including whites, rosés and reds, each introduced by the winemaking team. The experience highlights the diversity and character of the region. A relaxed and insightful visit to close the day’s wine activities.
Free Time in Amarante
Free Time in Amarante
Before the day ends, enjoy free time in Amarante, one of northern Portugal’s most charming towns. Wander through its historic center and admire the iconic São Gonçalo Bridge and Church. The granite architecture, local shops and riverside views create a unique and inviting atmosphere. It is the perfect moment to take photos or simply enjoy the city at your own pace. A peaceful and culturally rich break in the program.

In the late afternoon, check in at the Monverde Wine Experience Hotel, surrounded by the vineyards of Quinta da Lixa. The property offers modern, serene spaces designed for rest and connection with nature. Dinner is free, with several local recommendations available. A comfortable environment ensures a relaxing end to the day. Rest surrounded by vineyards and tranquility.

Day 2 - Monverde Wine Experience Hotel
Following the buffet breakfast, the wine-making activity that marks the second day of the tour begins. You will take part in a workshop on grape varieties, aromatic profiles and wine-making techniques. Guided by experts, you will have the opportunity to create your own blend of Vinho Verde. The process is engaging and interactive, ideal for understanding the region’s identity. At the end, you will take home the personalised bottle you have created. This educational experience culminates in a memorable way at the hotel restaurant, where you will enjoy a four-course wine lunch.
Quinta das Arcas
Quinta das Arcas
In the afternoon, you visit Quinta das Arcas, located in Valongo, where you will explore the vineyards, winery, and production areas. A guided visit provides insight into winemaking techniques and the estate’s philosophy. The experience concludes with a tasting of Vinho Verde wines paired with cheese and olive oil. A sensory moment that reflects the region’s character. A fitting conclusion to two days dedicated to wine. 
Return to Porto
Return to Porto
After the final activity, you begin the journey back to Porto in full comfort. Drop-off will take place at the city center, your hotel, or Porto Airport. Enjoy a smooth and relaxing ride accompanied by your specialized chauffeur. A final opportunity to reflect on the experiences and flavors discovered. End of the tour with Portugal by Wine.

10:30 a.m.- Pick-up at Sá Carneiro Airport, hotels, or Oporto city centre; 
11:00 a.m.- Transfer to the Vinhos Verdes Region;
12:00 p.m.- Guided visit to Quinta da Aveleda, with a regional lunch, accompanied by Aveleda wines;
04:00 p.m. - Guided visit to Sem Igual, with tasting of 3 wines; 
06:00 p.m. - Free time to stroll around the city of Amarante;
20:00 p.m. - Regional, à la carte, dinner, at "Pobre Tolo" restaurant, in Amarante;* 
10:00 p.m. - Check-in at Monverde Wine Experience Hotel (4 stars).

8:30 a.m. - Buffet breakfast at the hotel;
9:30 a.m. - Check-out;
11:00 a.m. - Activity "Be a winemaker for a day" at Monverde Wine Experience Hotel;
01:00 p.m.- 4-course, wine lunch, in the hotel restaurant;
04:00 p.m. - Guided visit to Quinta das Arcas, with wine tasting, accompanied by a cheese and olive oil board;
06:00 p.m. - Transfer to Oporto;
06:30 p.m. - Drop-off at Sá Carneiro Airport, hotels, or Oporto city centre;

Cancellation up to 15 days before the arrival date: a 5% fee will be additionally charged;
Cancellation in less than 15 days before the arrival date: 100% of the total amount will be charged;
No-show: You will be charged 100% of the total amount.
