About the Activity
Quinta do Quetzal sits in the heart of Vidigueira, on the slopes that shape one of the most distinctive microclimates in Alentejo. Its proximity to the oldest Roman winery in the southwest of the Iberian Peninsula and the surrounding hills creates a unique terroir unlike most of the region.

The estate’s main building houses a restaurant, wine shop and contemporary art center. Clad in schist, it blends seamlessly into the landscape, complemented by native vegetation that enhances the natural experience of Alentejo.

The Quetzal Art Center hosts exhibitions by both established and emerging artists, encouraging a broader reflection on art outside traditional commercial circuits.

Your visit begins with a walk through the vineyards, followed by a guided tour of the modern winery to explore the techniques behind Quetzal wines. The experience concludes with a refined lunch at the restaurant, where Alentejo cuisine meets contemporary touches, paired with Quetzal wines in a tasting led by a Sommelier.

    “Visitámos a adega e almoçámos no restaurante do Quetzal.” Adega pequena mas com historia interessante, pelo que vale a pena conhecer. Fizemos a visita na companhia do Escanção João, que também nos acompanhou no almoço pelo que conseguimos uma perfeita harmonização entre o vinho, almoço e a historia da quinta e da Vidigueira . O restaurante é muito bem decorado, com serviço de excelência e uma vista de tirar o folego. A comida é muito bem confecionada, difícil é escolher.
