About the Activity
On this luxury wine tour, designed by Portugal by Wine, we invite you to discover the Setúbal Peninsula Wine Region.

The 1-day tour, includes a visit to 3 of the region's most respected wine producers, where you will taste the best wines and enjoy unforgettable wine tourism experiences. 

The program starts with the pick-up at Humberto Delgado Airport, in hotels, or in the city centre of Lisbon. You will be accompanied by a chauffeur specialized in wine tourism, and the entire trip will be in a premium vehicle.

After the pick-up, the trip towards Setúbal will be full of stunning landscapes, where you will appreciate the peculiar natural beauty of this route.

The activities begin at Bacalhôa Vinhos de Portugal, one of the biggest and most innovative wine producer in Portugal, which has developed through the years a wide variety of wines that resulted in a solid reputation and preference from national and international consumers. It has got 1200ha of vineyard, 40 grape varieties and 4 wine cellars. You will visit the Palácio da Bacalhôa, where you will discover the setting which has the distinction of dating back to the founders of the Avis dynasty.

Next, will be a guided tour to the José Maria da Fonseca winery, in Azeitão. The wine state has maintained a wine-making activity since 1834, the fruit of the shared passion of a family that has been able to preserve and project the memory and prestige of its founder. The visit will begin in the Museum Room, with a brief explanation about the history of the company. After a stroll through the garden, you will visit the cellars: Adega da Mata, Adega dos Teares Novos and Adega dos Teares Velhos. At the end, you will participate in a tasting of premium wines. After the visit and tasting, it will be time to have lunch at José Maria da Fonseca restaurant. You will enjoy a menu of typical Portuguese snacks, to share, accompanied by José Maria da Fonseca wines. 

The tour ends with a visit to Quinta do Piloto, heir to the wine tradition of four generations of the Cardoso family. During the guided tour, you will get to know the family history and the traditional methods of winemaking in the region. You will visit the tasting room, wine shop and event spaces. You will also enjoy the immense panoramic view over Lisbon and the Tejo Valley, where you will taste 4 Quinta do Piloto wines.

At the end of a day, it will be time to return to Lisbon, where the drop-off will be made in the city centre, hotels or Humberto Delgado Airport.

08:30 a.m. – Pick-up at Humberto Delgado Airport, in hotels, or in Lisbon city centre; 
09:00 a.m. – Transfer to Setúbal Wine Region;
10:00 a.m. - Guided visit to the Bacalhôa's Palace, with a wine tasting;
12:00 p.m. - Guided visit to José Maria da Fonseca, with a premium wine tasting;
01:00 p.m. - Lunch of traditional Portuguese tapas, at José Maria da Fonseca restaurant;
03:30 p.m. - Guided visit to Quinta do Piloto, with wine tasting and Setúbal muscatels; 
05:30 p.m. – Return to Lisbon;
07:00 p.m. – Drop-off at Humberto Delgado Airport, in hotels, or in Lisbon city centre;
End of the tour.

Cancellation up to 15 days before the arrival date: a 5% fee will be additionally charged;
Cancellation in less than 15 days before the arrival date: 100% of the total amount will be charged;
No-show: You will be charged 100% of the total amount.
